This may be old news, but I have just heard that the Churchill will be re-opening around the end of August under the Ramada brand. I have spoken to Gehan Diaz-Bandaraniake, the general manager of the Whitfield Ramada, and he confirms it.

vic
that is actually new, martin(mrp) posted recently that although the ramada chaps had taken the place over there was a lot of work to do to get the place up to standard.

Good news indeed.
That'll be 3 hotels the owners of Dover's Ramada have.
I wonder if they need a Marketing Manager's assistant ??

Old news or otherwise, it's great news.
It's been so sad to think of that lovely building (I still call it the White Cliffs Hotel, force of habit!) sitting there dormant.
I trust the Ramada Group will give it back a bit of its mojo.

Let's hope Ramada do not price it out of the market. I do not find the Ramada Hotel at Whitfield very good value for money and quite a dreary place to have a meal.
