    It is true that Christmas has been slow to warm up this year, although that might be just me. But today the lights are on the tree, I have had my champagne gin cocktail and indeed the story on the front page hits the spot. My son is making mulled wine, the wonderfully named chocolate enrobed figs are on the plate along with the mince pies, and there is a wonderful scent of cinnamon in the air. At last, Christmas bites!! And it feels good!
