    The Christmas lights now going up are all LED so that this year our electricity bill will be a fraction of last years. They will last longer and be a saving in the long run. Yes we have invested more this year but the results will be seen in following years and in any case the old lights failed their electrical test so would have needed expensive replacements anyway. The LEDs SHOULD not suffer from blown bulbs so winning all round.
