To the posters on Dover Forum who continually snipe, moan, bitch and whine about Dover. You do the town a great disservice by carrying on this way.

The Market Square on Saturday was full with the most people it's ever had, the Christmas lights switch on wasn't particularly well publicised but the public still supported the event.

The organisers gave of their time freely and apart from witnessing one fracas I believe it was safely policed (that happened after the switch on and was no doubt the result of too many Special Brews).

Yes, next year perhaps there shall be lights in Castle Street, there may be a raised staging area and better lighting around the Market Square stalls. The Marlowe pantomime cast said it was the best-attended they had been to on the day.

This forum is about Dover and frequented by the people of Dover but please remember it is also looked on by others outside the area. Your doing-down of the town really does not help.
