So thoughtful of Asda to give us over 3 months notice I wouldn't have known otherwise.

Maybe a tad early , we are still enjoying lovely sunshine. Don't want to be thinking of stuffing the turkey just yet.

Indeed Brian. Must admit it's one of my favourite meals, even though it can become a bit predictable . Usually accompanied by some nice wine and a glass of brandy with the Xmas pud ( I know, hardly dinner protocol but so yummy) and to end it all a tipple of some half decent Port. Oh dear, Mr mcsweeney1, see what you have started?

Welcome to the Forum Anna, good to see a new member giving views, some of us have been here so long we know in advance what each of us will say on a subject.
Just read that Wetherspoons are stopping doing Christmas dinners in their pubs this year, I must admit it gets a bit much when any and every function that time of the year delivers the same meal.

Very true. They also stopped doing the traditional Sunday lunch, so a friend mentioned to me. One could say that Sunday is not so traditional any more with it being a 7 day working week. But that is going off topic.

Went past "The Works" shop earlier, an entire window display of calendars and diaries for 2017.
