The post you are reporting:
Cynical and cowardly marketing by a 'quality' food outlet. Cynical because they knew this would get a better response than the normal 'we've got some crap stuff in for Christmas and we really want you credulous fools to buy it' campaign; and cowardly because, as has been pointed out, they wouldn't have dared use imagery from any other religion. Not that I'm respectful of any institution that's based on fairy stories, and I'm happy to draw attention to the absurdities, contradictions and blind spots in any fantasy system that holds folk in thrall or seeks to spread de-enlightenment, irrationality, the supernatural or violence. But if a secular culture is going to imply a shallow culture then I'll pack up my whisky, my library and my wind-up torch and disappear into the nearest priest hole, thank you very much. As for Greggs, well 'business ethics' is surely contradictio in terminis.
