    Whilst I applaud the principle of removing state benefits from those who earn enough that they do not need them; I am concerned about the inequality built into this announcement.

    Remember the mantra "the cuts are fair" or some such hogwash from the government...

    So how is it fair that a family with a single earner on say £45,000 loses child benefit but

    a family where both parents work and earn a combined total of £75,000, but neither exceeds the higher rate tax threshold, keep their child benefit

    Clearly this must be fair and equitable

    Because the government told all of us that their cuts would be
