    According to Humphy (yes we've been to Jolleys) these lights have been up the creek since the weekend. Walking past yesterday afternoon I noted that they were out and motorists were using the junction cautiously. I was about to report it when I bumped into PCSO Tracey Brittenden hot footing it along Granville Street.

    This morning the generator sounded somewhat strained and all the lights were slowly pulsing red causing much confusion in the rain.

    I called the police who at first said they had no "Charlton Green" on the system. If you'll pardon the pun, we've been down that road before! Clarifying it to Bridge Street/Frith Road I was told that there were no reports but it would be passed to Highways.

    Just to cheer everyone up. Mention has been made about how long the "temporary" situation will go on for both here and at Cherry Tree. Last week I went to Canterbury and saw the new pedestrian crossing on Tourtel Road that was started in November. It's still not finished.
