  I see a detailed planning application for the old Sorting Office has been submitted at long last.
  
  "Outline application for the erection of 23 dwellings and 42 self-contained flats, parking, vehicular and pedestrian access and garden and open space areas "
  
  The layout looks about right to me and must surely be an improvement on the badly neglected site that is there at the moment.

  I can't see there being any objections to this development as long as there is enough off street parking. Out of interest what is a self contained flat if it is not a dwelling?

  I certainly will not be objecting, looking at the plans there will be plenty of parking and the buildings look similar to the new flats further along Maison Dieu Road.
  
  I suppose they do not count as houses in case the developers or planners want to have flats/apartments instead.
