    I agree that the existing Charlton Centre Car Park would be ideal for the new Asda. With the success of Morrisons and any increase in footfall at the new Asda parking will be at a premium and from what I see the Charlton Centre Car Park is far from fully utilised.

    I was most surprised in post #11 by Jan in that rumour re council buying the car park as it is included in the auction list of the Charlton Centre (Lot 8).

    Having said that the list shows Sainsbury as a tenant and indicates the nearby B&Q. So quite a lot of obsolete details.
