I agree Howard, the seafront in Dover is wonderful. Although I think the connection (or lack of) to the town is the main issue.
I think Mr Elphicke has an odd view on this one.
Christine, with all due respect, I don't think you can claim any higher visual awareness than Mr Elphicke when you write 'The other half of the promanade, in front of the Grimway Flats, has no access to the Beaches'.
Unless of course you regard patches of shingle banked up between the stepped sea defence and the groynes as 'beaches'.
Perhaps Mr Elphicke should visit the seafront more often instead of spending so much time on Deal beach with his family and award winning dog 'Star' - as his website suggests.
N.B: Dogs are not permitted on Deal beach from 1st May to 30th September.
