I've just opened the door to a girl who looked Eastern European and couldn't speak. she had no badge on .She put a sponsorship form in my hand. It was in the format of those the children bring home from school. Not very well printed and with wheelchair emblem on it and words about children's cancer.
There were a few names on it ,with donation amounts, that looked as if they had been written by the same hand.
I didn't give her any money.

back in london i had a young woman knock at my door and hand me a sheet of paper saying "i am from bosnia, am deaf and dumb need money to put me through school".
definitely dumb to think that deaf and dumb people don't get a free education, closed the door and rang the police who arrived a few seconds later and carted her off, they had been inundated with calls.
