Charity beer festival, 5th and 6th May
- 3 May 2012 09:29170092Dover Rotary Club are holding their beer festival at The Fox, Temple Ewell, from 12 noon on both days this coming weekend. Entrance fee is £5 including commemorative glass, hot food will be available, Tel 01304 823598 for more details.
There'll be live music on Saturday (not sure of timing) and on Sunday The Mighty Cowpats will be playing from 3pm to finish the weekend off

Being the Rotary Club, it would have also been a good fund-raiser - hope they make lots of money.

- 6 May 2012 11:26170628And before us, early afternoon, there will be the youngsters from The LA Music Club, they always put on an amazing show (better than some of the 'talent' on Saturday night talent competitions) and it's worth coming along just to see them.
There's the usual drinks and food available from the pub bar if you're not into real ale, plus various raffles and competitions to raise funds for all the good causes that Rotary support.
I think The Mighty Cowpats are always put on last to make sure everyone goes home on time

The base player has just told us we've got a new drummer for today, he'll be told 'Follow us, everything's in G'
We've got a harmonica player who has played with us just the once before.
We left messages for the fiddle and sqeezebox players about the gig but their phones have since been disconnected
The washboard player from the ska band might turn up if they're not on one of their regular tours of Germany.
The singer has just left Guilford and is hoping there's no problems with Operation Stack
As they say, it'll be alright on the night.
