Many people will be inconvenienced by the actions there that are leading to a serious fuel shortage amongst other things. Our local petrol stations will be busier than normal this weekend.

Went to and came back from Monaco this week and finding fuel was quite difficult, but listening to the local news was like being in the UK in the 1970's with all the ongoing and proposed strikes in France. This(France) is a country that is in chaos at the moment and the violence as reported it appears, will get worse.

I went over to Calais and up to Belgium today and there were no problems of fuel shortage, but I imagine one would keep the most profitable/popular petrol stations stocked, a huge swathe of the jungle has been cleared though a large area still remains, and the fencing along the port road is still being extended.

Latest I heard was that the fuel shortage wasn't so bad in France but there were long queues out onto the road at the BP station near the docks at 5. 30 this morning.

The same situation at the one on the Folkestone Road about 10 am with cars trying to get in and out and traffic at a standstill both ways.
