11:5085436Just to let you all know, Blakes will be open today from noon until 4pm, for drinks and bar nibbles (normally we are closed on Sundays, but we thought, well, as it's nearly Christmas.....)
Also we shall be open most days over Christmas and New Year (including Christmas Day and Boxing Day), whereas we normally close for most of the week. Watch this space for details......

12:1585437I hope you are really buzy and take plenty of money, nothing worse than standing there twiddling your thumbs.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

12:5985448Thanks Peter.
I can't get the car out and Jean couldn't walk that far, but it may turn tropical later and melt the snow.

07:2485756Thanks for that Peter - yes indeed it was worth it; met a lovely lady we hadn't seen for years; we'll do our best - weather and work permitting.
Keep well and warm.

14:5686653Peter's got more than you can shake a stick at Bern. I prefer Old Bushmills myself, not that I get it very often, whiskey that is.

15:0886659Only if you have something to advertise, Keith.
Aforementioned whisky won by PaulB is a bottle of Famous Grouse Cask Strength 59.8% abv.
