    Whilst the pessimist in me tells me that this will be another DTIZ disaster, I sincerely hope that the whole CGI thing proceeds; not just because of what it means for the historic environment, but also for Dover as a whole. This place needs a catalyst for regeneration - let's hope that this current timeframe is the 'bottom of the barrel' as far as Dover is concerned.
    It would appear that thankfully (or should I say finally?) DDC planning seem to have stepped up to the mark and shown some imagination, let's hope that the council now steps away from the project and lets the professionals see the project through. The last thing that anyone needs now is for a bunch of semi-literate amateurs to keep sticking their fingers in the pie.
    Of course, the other obstacle as far as turning the Drop Redoubt into a fully fledged tourist destination will be English Heritage...
