  This morning on BBC Breakfast's Local News they had an item on this saying the Major was laying a wreath and showed the plaque.

  Not exactly a wreath, bouquets from Dover town Council and Dover Society commemorating the 23 Dover civilians who subsequently from bombing during WW1. There was an item on South East News at lunchtime which will no doubt be repeated later.
  
  And mention was made of the many millions who have died by this means since, and probably even will this day.
