I left work in river at 5pm, a 5 minute run home but not today.
A vets appointment booked for 5-30pm I thought no problem.
Getting to the old Paper mill everything just came to a stand still. Creeping forward bit by bit and drivers getting tetchy I started to think there had been an accident.
It took me 10 minutes to get as far as Cherry tree ave only to find out it was a recycle lorry going about it's business.
Main road blocked and side roads blocked = grid lock.
It now takes twice as long to service one home ( they have to take the bins back ) But WHY do they have to do this at the rush hour?
Bloody stupid.
Only just made the appointment after the wife had started walking with the dog and I picked her up halfway.
