Would be a great pity if they folded as it is in most visitors photographs with the fountain in the foreground and the Castle as the backdrop.

They refer to cuts in funding but I thought the Town Council gave them a small grant each year to cover the hanging baskets and planters, be surprised if that stopped.

Think you find it is not a financial issue, need people to take on the running of the society, both people featured intend to retire and no one coming forward to replace them.

The article states that that funding has declined as well as people being needed to take over and run things.
