great news susan,
the gateway centre will bring more people to that quiet part of town, if they tart up snoops a bit, all the better.

good pics paul, the gateway will be visible from 3 angles which must give off a welcoming aura.
i see that one of the services on offere is debt advice, judging by my recent utility bills, i will soon be paying them a visit.

Great news about Snoops and the Gateway.
Hopefully most of the redecoration will be done by the week-end, so that it will look better, if not actually good, for all those thousands expected.
I've also written to countless people about the "temporary" fencing around the screen and the chaos and danger it is causing to the public and businesses - no one seems to have a sense of urgency or even responsibility about it.
And another thing................ the weeds that have grown up around the Sea Sport Centre are absolutely disgraceful.
Can you imagine the embarrassment with three International marquees on the seafront, thousands of visitors and the TV here over the week-end that the air of neglect these weeds and the untidy state the area is in, would give.
I would think that this would have been very high on DHB's priority, but sadly not - not yet; I'll call them today.
Roger
Thank you - those things do matter and make a difference.

Something is happening at last on the site at the junction of Castle Street and Maison Dieu Road.
