I'm amazed to see it as the gales had their wicked way with it last night.

Yes went past on saturday as they were putting the display up, so was somewhat pleased to see it in one piece this morning as i went passed, especially after lastnights storm.

It looks so pretty and is such a focal point for the street . Im glad it survived the storms ,
Lovely! Even though the kids are grown up now - or nearly! - we still every year do our drive around River and Dover to see the best lights. We will include Castle Street in our tour this year!

Ah! thats fab..well done getting those pictures through Howard. That vet chap always comes up with a very good cheery display. More stormy weather forecast for the coming days too...so..oh dear. lets hope it survives okay. The display sticks out all the more because there are no Christmas lights in Castle St this year.

bern mentions the displays at river, i know that one road makes an exceptional effort.
does anyone know the name of the road.
Hawthorne? We always go as my daughters have friends there and they collect for the air ambulance as part of the display. It's usually lovely - all the houses go full on!

229 and 231 Folkestone Road have a grand set of Christmas lights, takes over the two houses. Our guest house used to be 231.
