Well..the carnival is on today and we will endeavour to get a picture or two. As is clear from the posts and from chatting to people generally, the whole idea seems to have gone more than a little flat for this year, what with summer being over and whathaveoyu. The Deal people have temporarily taken over and are now running things so good luck to them for today. The weather is okay. The original management seems to have been bypassed according to what we read in the papers.
It will be on a shorter route starting from Russell St Car Park as mentioned in the post above, much wiser, as the resources were too thin to cover the long route in my view, and this might give it the amphitheatre feel especially if its to be a smaller parade, which will benefit the uplifting experience.
