Apparently by 2020 this will be the car windscreen of choice claim auto glass. Sat nav display together with the normal functions ie mph, fuel & oil levels ,warning lights,indicators etc.

Very clever but surely it must distract the driver.
Flying a plane in a clear sky is not quite the same as avoiding the child that suddenly dashes into the road from nowhere.

Not sure if you would find this on commercial aircraft Jan, just military ones.
It's getting to the point where the car driver will be superfluous as the technology takes over. The price of this stuff is already coming down - you only have to look at the price of current satellite navigation kit to see that.
