I see the car was in ferry aproach run by CMW group has asked for retropctive planing permision for the car was,But the council
it look like it might have to close down as it is on operational development are. I can't understand why the building is does not look out of place,& the car was area is screened off by the vans parked along the front.there has been 27 objection to it beeing there.
What is better to have a something that is open & bring in some money to the town,or to have another site empty & looking ugly,& not bring any money in to the town.
I think people have a down on people who are trying to make a go of things. They do a very good job,it is not that noisy they only use the jet was for a few minuets.the ret of the time the cars are washed by hand.

Been discussed in depth on here Roger, just had a message from councillor Sir Peter Wallace that the plan has been approved.

Sir Peter Wallace - that's a quick elevation.
Yes it was passed, I'm pleased to say - all the committee were for it - apart from 1.

I think Howard is meaning Peter Wallace, a (Labour) District Councillor for Maxton Elmsvale and Priory ward Vic.
The elevation to a "Sir" was just Howard's humour.

Absolutely great news, just been in to see Danny of CMW and he confirmed all was passed, common sense prevailed.
Incidentally, I have the name of the Cllr who objected to the plans, of course it wouldn't have been him sacking ten blokes.
And the ultimate irony is that Bond City, the firm charged with regenerating Dover, objected to the plans. You couldn't make it up.
So, despite that and a narrow minded (tory) councillor, the right decision was arrived at. Well done CMW
