DOVER 4.4 As earlier in this report, we have now been advised that L&G has decided not to seek
to apply Sunday parking charges for the time being whilst indicating that they will be
    keeping this matter under review.
4.5 Whilst noting and respecting the decision taken by L&G, should parking pressures
within the St. James development over the coming months lead to L&G introducing
Sunday charging, then the Council equally needs to ensure effective management of
the car parks which serve the wider town centre.
4.6 It is therefore proposed that Cabinet defer the plans to extend Sunday charging
    within Dover
whilst continuing to monitor usage levels.

DEAL 4.14 It is therefore proposed that Cabinet continue with the proposal to extend Sunday
charging within Deal, but that this is limited to the off-street car park at Middle Street
    only
    at this stage.

Please note that this change in policy has bugger all to do with any petitions but is based on traffic surveys of car park use which I asked to be provided at a Scruitiny Meeting earlier this year. Parking is a Science not an Art. Prof Donald Shoup rocks.
