    did our forum members see the report from the automobile association yesterday?

    premiums have shot up something alarming over the last year.

    the main victims were males between the ages of 17 and 24, they were shelling out nearly 2 and a half grand, their female counterparts about 50% of that.

    what has suddenly happened to cause the increase?

    i can only think that
    a) an increase in fraud
    b) an increase in uninsured drivers.


    my neighbour spouts off on a regular basis about the new eastern europeans he works with that purchase unroadworthy cars and do not bother with the niceties of tax and insurance.

    maybe that adds to the premiums.
