strangely there were no signs indicating where the event was on the main drag, i had to ask someone that knew where it was.

the sheer intensity of the build up to the sack race.
they still end up on the deck in time honoured fashion.

Well done Howard - did you buy any of the produce on sale ? All the stall-holders and probably more besides, were there around the perimeter.

Yes, I remember Lesley, she worked quite hard as a community Lady for DDC.
Didn't know she was old enough to be a Grandmother - time goes very quickly - too quickly.

i was told that crowds were at their peak at midday ted, still busy when i arrived at about half two.
i was surprised too roger the grand daughter(molly) claims to be 3 and was enjoying her very first candy floss.
indeed lesley worked very hard trying to champion communities across the district and still has that winning smile.

Yes it was a good bit of fun in Capel, there was a good bit going on for the young at heart and the pictures on here show it all. I had a quick pint and met Mike Webb and Carol then just as I was leaving I saw our Sue who was once again there on duty.
The dog looked good just hope it will wash off Ok.

Certainly did Howard and I have the greatest respect for the work they do as volunteers in the community, I hope I made a small difference and was able to help with either training or funding for projects. I have loved watching people challenge the system and achieve their goals, makes all that hard work worthwhile.
