Canterbury Count the Bridges Charity Walk for the Stroke Association 5th May
- 4 May 2012 20:10170387Just a reminder that the walk is tomorrow morning, won't let a bit of rain put us off! It will be quite chilly to start with so I suggest wearing layers and a waterproof jacket.
£5 per person.
Meet at 9.15am by the Bandstand in the Dane John Gardens in Canterbury for a 9.30am start. It will be fun!
My dad reckons we will be crossing 36 bridges. I will be counting.... Photos to follow.

I'm pleased to say the walk was a great success. The rain held off until the very end and even then was only light rain. It was an enchanting route and all who came said how much they enjoyed it, thanks to my dad.
There were 24 of us altogether, and with donations from people who wanted to come and couldn't, so far we have raised approximately £165 from the event. Some tickets had been sold and donations made in advance and therefore already counted in my total, but with money taken on the day I am now up to a whopping £2455!!! I have until 23rd May to finish collecting money, and am hoping to reach £2500 by then. So just £45 to go!!!

Looked like a lovely walk - some lovely flowers in Canters (as in Folkestone); didn't see any litter anywhere either.
I didn't recognise anyone (apart from Alan of course) were there any Forumites on the walk ?
