Audere est facere.
Twas in the Telegraph so it must be......
Apparently it was seen as his Thatcher Moment (remember the Miners.....) Tongue in cheek, or not.....?!
Could people just put a clue what their threads are about instead of these incessant links which I really hate, as I tend to get lost in a mire (or fog) of cyber space? Though the above does give a clue it is only after I almost lost the will to live reading through the interminable address.

sounds like a classical political ploy to deflect attention away from government shortcomings.
i think that dave and friends would welcome some strike action, particularly from the public sector to make him look good when he stands firm.

Of course given the date it might just be bull
"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." - James Dean
"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength,
While loving someone deeply gives you courage" - Laozi
Possibly ignoring them might help, if you don't want to wade through clicking on them.

Yes, but then I might miss out on a good rant!

I tend to agree with Diana
I usually click on them and then say to myself "I wish I hadn't bothered it is politics".

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Fingers well and truly rapped, very rare I post a link. I was fully aware of the date when I asked if it could be true.
Audere est facere.

Much fun has been had over the years on TV and in the press on April 1st. The Guardian's spoof about the Island Nation of San Serriffe takes the biscuit...
[the link below is ALL about April Fools spoofs, including the one mentioned above. Vital reading for the fun-loving]

The date at the top of the paper is clearly today's, but message understood.
Audere est facere.
I meant in the Telegraph ,Martin. Not a Mail reader!!
I recall some of those fab April 1st jokes well. One I especially liked was at Oxford: briefly, some students persuaded some Uni people in authority that some genuine workmen working on the roads were student April foolers, and the workmen that there would be some student April foolers turning up later pretending to be authorities. The authorities were of course annoyed at the "damage" to the roads..........rather enjoyable for those watching!
