Once again Mr Cameron has endorsed his support for the EU.
"Its in our best interests to remain in the European Union" said he yet again, this time at his Mansion House speech late last night. He called for changes within the EU but nevertheless will continue to remain there as its best for the UK. A policy I agree with myself. Once the current crisis is sorted a new stronger Europe will emerge and all the top politicians see that. The message is not transferring to grass root level though. As I said over on Barrys Blog, the Conservatives are a very difficult party to lead because of this splintering.... so we find that Cameron is a somewhat beleaguered figure currently, with his 82 backbenchers jumping on the populist anti-EU bandwagon. However he is sticking to his guns...
