Any camera buffs out there (I see that Phil is back). I need a new camera and cannot make up my mind between a Panasonic Lumix LZ 20 or a Canon Powershot SX 150. They are both about the same price £75 to £80. I have read all the reviews and I am favouring the Panasonic which has the ability to make Panoramic shots which I fancy, on the otherhand I have had a small Canon Powershot for years and it has never let me down. Decisions, decisions.

Alec,
Both will do the job as well as each other so don't get bogged down the feature for feature race, or the number of megapixals etc. Try them both, and get the one that feels right in your hand. If I had to choose I would go for the Panasonic, but the Canon is good too..........

i am presently using the canon sx 150, fits nicely in jacket pockets and takes a decent enough shot. might be worth waiting a month or so alec as argos usually have a clearance sale on cameras in august.
remember getting one marked down from 200 quid to about 90 quid, i think brian is using the same one.

Thanks to Phil, Howard and Brian for your input. I think I will go for the Panasonic. Phil, the boys in the Bells send their regards.

I have a Canon 75-300 EF USM zoom lens and wondered if anyone knew if there was anywhere locally I could get it cleaned/repaired. It works manually but not on autofocus. Hopefully just needs a clean.
Thanks.

I have just bought a 'new' refurbished computer off Pharos Computers, real value for money and excellent friendly service.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I popped into Pharos Computers about my lens.
Unfortunately I'll need to take it to a specialist as the young lad in the shop said they're filled with a gas and once its been taken apart will need to be replaced.
Was looking to sell it which is why I was getting it repaired/cleaned but that now depends on how much it'll cost to get done.
Thanks again Howard for suggesting Pharos. They were very helpful.
