  Even M&S in Dover is a mess, however. Given the closure of their Folkestone store sometime ago, you would have thought they would invest in the Dover store. Instead they seem hell bent on filling the aisles with so much stock that you simply cannot walk around the place. I have some experience having worked at the head office of a well known national retailer, and the old adage is "retail is detail". Regretably, I think the Dover M&S is very poor as a retail experience. Again, if only someone could persuade M&S to invest in a new, larger store in the St James' area, they would attract more customers from Dover, Folkestone, and the Continent.
