John, UKIP in Devon have sent me many requests to renew my membership, and also made phone calls to me.
When they informed me this month that my blog is fine, and does not interfere with UKIP policies, and that there is no reason why I should not be a member, I immediately decided to renew my membership status.

My present 4-week painting and decorating work contract has come to an end today, so I can go about it this week. Once I've sent the membership application off, I'll inform Vic by email, as he, as chairman, can then update his records on local members.

I don't see any reason for a dispute with Vic, and look forward to being active within the party.

I will add that, at the last UKIP meeting, I was asked by the local members, including Vic, to renew my membership, so there is no controversy between Vic and me.

The box on the seafront is for tourist information, whereas a local UKIP office in the town would be for party information.
If we manage to open one, local party members could take turn in running it. It's wouldn't have space for big meetings, but could be an anchorage for distributing party literature and explaining to interested people the necessity to support our party at the elections.
