some good news for a change, the cobbled together people are making a change to the national curriculum that requires children to learn basic numeracy before they can use a calculator for more complicated tasks.
simple arithmetic, fractions and decimals are proving difficult for our young as things stand.
a recent survey showed that only 36% were up to speed with percentages, doesn't bode well for the remaining 87%.
