Calais closed - again

  Just on the news; the Port of Calais is closed and there will be no sailings from P. & O. or SeaFrance to Calais.
  Dunkirk is the only port open - shame that Boulogne doesn't have any sailings.

  roger,i think you will find it more deeper than that,considering whats happening here and other parts of europe.and dont forget that portigul was at a standstill yesterday.

  i would think it more to do with all round economic issues in france.

  mind you i did see the seafrance molier leave berth 9 at 0930 hours this morning along with a p&o frieght ship close behind heading for calias.

  sea france are running a full service and p & o a limited one, yet it was announced earlier that the strike would last until the evening.
