That must be fairly old Keith as reference is made to "the jungle".

I would guess that was a couple of years ago or so ago Howard, I wonder if things have improved that much there though or in other French coastal towns?
But seriously, at the time, a very strong woman speaking from her heart out of sheer desperation and one that clearly had simply had enough of the establishment’s general lack of concern for the well being of the local populace, which seems to be becoming the norm.
But the tide is turning, albeit too slowly, and the people that despise the so called “far right” have only themselves to blame for its rise in popularity. You can only push people too far before they fight back and that time is rapidly approaching.
For what it’s worth she has my sympathy.

Spread around now John, further along the coast migrants are jumping on vehicles entering the UK at Portsmouth last I heard. I feel great sympathy for people who have their lives disrupted in such a way as the people of Calais when "the jungle" was there.

There are now around a thousand plus who are dotted about in every copse and derelict building and nightly attempts on lorries at every junction on the ringroad.

(And this is Rome. In all honestly most of us have no idea just how things are in other nearby countries.

saw loads Wednesday coming back to calias, all walking one way or another on the motorway. I blame the so called do gooders who encourage them by feeding and cloathing them.
