  A point to be added to the old saw, "An Englishman's home is his castle." Is that, "An Englishman's midden is always somebody else's problem."
  The clutter that none can abide within their own walls is all too easily seen as, "Not My Problem." when the problem is shared with the 'community'. And thus becomes another stick with which to beat the local authority.
  
  It is as if the scope of human comprehension does not, for many, extend beyond their own threshold.
  
  Something all too true in every walk of life in today's world.
