I was out at my Xmas party last night, one of the lads out with us was Bill, ex-police commander, active on the picket lines in notts, rank Tory, wealthy with property abroad, hates Labour. It was one of the best night's we've had, he talked I listened, I talked he listened, I have not seen him for a while so we had lots to talk about. We didn't agree on much but it was great to have a reasoned conversation and we both definitely learned something from our chat. He is a good friend of mine and has my respect. We do not have to be hostile or enemies just because we don't think the same, I know plenty of blues, who I like and respect and get on with.
