    Jeremy Hunt has been given responsibility over media competition removing Cable from that role. That is the minimum that had to be done.

    Cable has certainly been humiliated today and significantly weakened. Not a bad thing and I should think that DC will be quite happy at this.

    I agree with you about Laws Bern but he cannot return to government until he has been cleared of wrongdoing (and if). He is an able man who I certainly hope to see return to Cabinet though he is an LD.
