  Indeed...very difficult to see how he can be sacked though.
  He is probably THE leading light for the LIbdems in government as Cleggs reputation is in tatters and I doubt if anyone at all would vote for him in future elections. It does matter what people say in elections...just look at the ugly furore that has greeted Clegg at every turn since. The Libdems had already lost another top player in the shape of Laws, who got in a spot of expenses bother bigtime, so they are looking very treadbare at the top.
  
  The latest revelation as mentioned by Howard there..that Cable has declared war on Rupert Murdoch could develop into big news. The Tories will not like this one bit. The Murdoch papers backed them in the election so now this is real 'egg on the face' time. Surprisingly the Daily Telegraph held this news back...but a whistleblower has passed it to Robert Peston at the BBC.
  
  But what possessed the man Cable..to talk to two total strangers in this way will be regarded by all as pretty thicko lunacy.
