    As the cars were out of existing policy it had to go to committee. I made the application based on a high percentage or journeys in taxis being for just 1 person. The committee loved the idea and backed it. so much so that we had the dover town council travel contract. they knew it was a good idea and it gave Dover something new. The cars had ample luggage space the shopping etc. We took off very quickly.

    There are several websites and facebook pages filled with comments about cab for 1. It is rather sad to see it close after all the hard work. The only reason I sold it was to allow somebody with more financial backing and a fresh approach to take it to where it wanted to be.

    Things to always pan out the way you wish.

    I get very upset when I see people putting cab for 1 down. It was a great little service loved by many people of Dover.
