09:4385792I have checked Stagecoach web site ,looks like most routes are ok .No Ridgeway service .Just a small point of getting to the bus stop.
I missed the DDC meeting last night not worth the risk of getting there .Im sure Roger was relived as he did not have to drive into River If I had attended I would have complained re Dover Town Centre .

10:2086026Keith ,
If you read my posting correctly you will see i mentioned Dover Town Centre .The condition of the footways was appalling and now I have said something nice about your old mucker perhaps he will work for Dover .
Naturally I fight for River first but I also use Dover shopping etc so I do speak up for the residents and I say again the footways were very bad . .

18:5186098Brian, The pavements have been lethal in the town with this snow and ice with the lack of gritting. I do not think they are that bad otherwise, there will always be room for improvement especially the section between Crafford Street and Ladywell that is really bad.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

18:5586100just on the snow the transpoprt minister has made three statements to the effect that every council has enough salt to grit al roads including side roads
its the councils fault if they choose not to
the transport minister was clearly saying there is no shortage

i spoke too soon, the bus done one circuit then gave up.
pencester gardens was a skating rink this morning, still feel the bruises.
yesterday two of sita's best(tyrone and the bloke who does my road) were seconded to try and clear the town centre.
i am left wondering whether the problem is shortage of labour rather than shortage of grit.
