That's brilliant, and I knew people would know here ... and thanks to Paul for his pubs site (I visit there so often - terrific site!).
The people who were enquiring live overseas now, but have very fond memories of the area and their family there. They remember a steep path down to the Warren, they say, and that when there was a cafe there the building was called "High Hope"
