    It's not about faith, or even religion, it's about power, control and ignorance. Burning books is an act of barbarism, but then so is incitement to hatred, and the press manage that one without too much challenge. If the press hadn't broadcast the potential burning to the globe that pastor would have remained the head of a less-than-50-strong "church" and that would be that. Incidentally, I don't recall Hilary Clinton et al getting on their hind legs to condemn any of the flag-burning/fatwa pledging/death-threatening Islamist extremists in the US or the UK as loudly or as vehemently as they are condemning this little pastor in the backwoods. And that imbalance is partly what leads to people feeling let down and betrayed.
