Quite clear Ron that almost everyone wants to see Burlington House come down so yes indeed Terry Sutton is on the ball, but not saying anything too new re Burlington House, as its been a hot topic on here for years.
And yes it looks like Deal did win hands down on the Wedding Celebrations. Has Deal got more of a community spirit than Dover??

I'll believe it when I see it, as PaulB says Burlington House has been a contentious issue on the forum for quite some time, simmering in the background. It just seems to be used as a high point for mobile masts, staying on this topic has anyone noticed that the communication mast seems to have grown by another 250 feet.

Not just mobile phone masts, I understand that MOD and GCHQ both have some pretty sophisticated kit up there.

not sure whether it is matter of community spirit paul, in the past street parties were the preserve of the working class streets.
apparently this time the vast majority were in better off areas, would be interesting to know where the parties were in deal.

As I mentioned in another thread, there was a great street party in Temple Ewell organised by the parish council and The Fox, not a particulalrly well off area compared to some but not as deprived as others either.
About 150 attended and had a great time. It carried on over the weekend with a busy charity beer festival in The Fox, organised by and benefitting Rotary and the local RNLI. One of the bar staff was . . . . . Terry Sutton

There was (as highlighted on another thread) a fantastic party at The White Horse - brilliant day was had by one and all
