Glad to hear it was a good one Humphy - I thought it would be.
The one before, on a Sunday afternoon was probably the best Sunday afternoon we'd ever had.
I love seeing Richard, he is so good with his tribute singing and a great entertainer.
Hope he gets back on the circuit before its too late; bring able to sing-along to all the songs makes a great evening.
"Billy Fury" was on at the Leas at Folkestone a couple of weeks ago and we couldn't go to that either.
I was very sorry we couldn't go last night - I had an officail function to attend, but couldn't go to that either as I have gout in my right knee and God does it hurt. I'm glad we live in a bungalow - couldn't manage the stairs there and driving isn't easy.

Thanks Keith and Sue - it's lasting a lot longer than normal.
I don't think it's too much beer Keith, I don't drink much - a couple of pints of ale, two maybe three times a week.

people laugh at gout, but it can be one of the most painful conditions known.
i knew someone that had it in their big toe(seriously) he had to sleep with nothing on top, not even a sheet!!
imagine that in the winter.
the old joke about too much port and rich food has no connection to the condition either.
i really sympathise with roger on this one.

Many thanks Humphy and all who attended the fund-raiser at Blakes on Sunday, it was a pleasure to perform again and a treat to see so many familiar faces, superb organisation by Peter and Kathryn and the support team there.
Great to be there especially upstairs as the acoustics were much better and got lots of attention by appearing in the window
Think that Blakes should do a bash along the same lines again.
Roger sorry to hear about your problem - get in touch as I have had knee problems muself, mostly helped by ultrasound, but I have a new device called a 'Bio=Lamp' which is working wonders now.
Get well soon
Oh Boy!, That'll be the day.........

Hi Richard - glad it was a great success.
I am taking Naproxin for this gout, it usually takes 2 or 3 days to clear up but this time it's taking ages.
I had ultra-sound treatment a long time ago for knee problems, but that's a long and quite funny story, but I know what happened last time I told a funny story on here, so won't go there this time.
I've checked again all the normal causes and foods that harm and heal and they are very ordinary and I'm back on porridge and skimmed milk - but 3 times a day ??? too much; I'll start talking Scottish soon.

Sadly we were otherwise engaged on Saturday so we couldn't make it. However you will be pleased to hear that Richard has agreed to perform later in the year for an LRCF event. More details nearer the time.
I had gout once Roger, and that was when I was thirty! I know what it's like. These days it's arthritis, sometimes even typing is painful.
