Concrete slabs/foundations are being put down for the 1st phase of housing & preparatory work for Care Centre site are well underway.
Mill manager's house being used as site office prior to restoration.
As the project continues the impressive main mill building will be converted into flats with communal facilities.
A major riverside walkway will enhance the current access from Crabble.

I was very sorry to see the Mill close as we all were, but very happy to see that big site at last being worked on.
It is good to see some development going on in Dover. Hurrah.

There are 56 affordable housing units in the first phase adding to that figure are another 40 in the Maison Dieu [old sorting office] Rd development.
All brown field development.

Remember going to the Mill and looking at the plans sometime back, so it is good to hear that it is finally moving forward.

Both sets of plans are offering attractive, and much needed, developments. If only their architects could have been used for the DTIZ.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

New buildings seem to go up very quickly and then take ages to get the inside done.
