- 18 August 2011 14:50121407Nominate a Heritage Asset From April 2011 we have a new, improved on-line form which should be used to apply for a heritage asset to be protected by designation, which includes listing buildings.
The new form includes a Geographical Information System, or GIS, so that you can mark the building or site on a map.
How to get something listed
We receive around 2,000 applications a year, from a wide range of sources, to designate a heritage asset.
If you would like to nominate a heritage asset for addition to The National Heritage List for England we would be pleased to hear from you. Please use the online application form below. If you have already begun to fill out an application form the link below will also take you back to your pending application.
Please also use this form for applications to amend, or remove, existing records on The National Heritage List for England.
Please note that we are unable to process applications that do not include clear, current, colour photographs of the asset (exterior and interior where applicable), or applications that are incomplete.
Application Form to Nominate a Heritage Asset
Priority will be given to the assessment of assets which are under threat of demolition, alteration, removal or salvage. As this was an old work house and poss the only one left in Kent i felt that it should be listed as well as treating many World War One and World War Two Soldiers there it is a peace of heritage that should be protected it meets all the criteria layed down - 18 August 2011 14:55121410i thought that some of the land had already been sold off and the remaining land was earmarked for a new "proper" hospital.
- 18 August 2011 15:09121415It may well have Howard but the main building has not and when i was there this morning asking Q I was told is not going to be a proper hospital like QEQM its a poly clinic some what bigger than the one on masion due road but i fear that in ten years time people will be asking if there is any information on Buckland Hospital and what it was in the days gone by, are we to lose all our heritage and not only that I started my Nursing Career there but that is by the by its a great building with a lot of History.

Not sure I want to see the hospital preserved Alan. Despite its history it is a depressing place and I am sure there are other sites that Scotchie could recommend that would help Dover's future as well as mainating its heritage. - Keith Sansum1

visited there last week boy needed his ear looked at.
the doctor there didnt have the equipment that goes in the ear and went looking around the ward for it, thankfully found it eventually.
but then saID, couldny find anything.
went to docs following day he found his ear inflamed gave anti biotic all sorted in 3 mins.
