    Food price inflation is the one to watch! Food prices in October were 4.4% higher than a year earlier, up from 4% in the year to September.

    To paraphrase Harold Macmillan 'You never will have it so good'. The bottom line is that we are all looking forward to a reduced standard of living for the foreseeable future. That's what happens after years of spending more than you earn as a country (and in many cases as an individual).
