I do not consider myself a bigot or a racist.

I accept there are genuine cases of people fleeing terrorism and persecution - many thousands of people are doing this every day.

Genuine asylum seekers/refugees know are are to seek a safe haven in the closest country to their own, but that is never a consideration to most of them - "England, I want to go to England".

But and it is a big but, they don't all have to come to the U.K. (I know they doen't ALL come here).
Those waiting in Calais have travelled half-way across Europe to get to Britain, not anywhere else, because they perceive, or are told that our pavements are covered (metaphorically) in gold.

We simply cannot afford to keep paying out for people who shouldn't be here - that's not bigoted.
